SPECIFICATIONS:

The phone sports a metal frame and a polycarbonate back, which means it’ll handle accidental drops much better than the Galaxy S8.

It is dust and water resistant, just like the Galaxy S8 models, but it also comes with military certification (MIL-STD-810G).

There is a single SIM slot for a nano-sim. It has 64GB internal memory and a 4GB RAM along with a card slot for adding extra 256GB.It has an octa core processor, Adreno 540 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset and Android Nougat,i.e., Android 7.0.

The model has similar features as Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ like iris scanner and fingerprint scanner. It packs a 4000mAh Li-Ion battery which will last the whole day on daily use.

It doesn’t have the edge display as the previous models and features an advanced 12MP F1.7 Dual Pixel rear camera and 8MP F1.7 Smart auto focus front camera deliver bright, sharp photos, even in low-light conditions, Samsung claims it to be better than previous models.

The company says it’s the “toughest Galaxy smartphone yet,” featuring a rugged design and military-grade screen that makes it shock, shatter, water, and dust resistant.

The device will come in Meteor Gray or Titanium Gold and will be available in-store from August 11. Buyers will be eligible for a range of deals including the credit towards another Galaxy smartphone as well as discounts on Samsung Gear devices. Samsung says the Galaxy S8 Active will be exclusive to AT&T “for a limited time.”The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be available on AT&T Next for $28.34 for 30 months, which adds up to around $850.

In terms of rupees, It will cost around 54000 but goes up to 61000 on buying from the Internet.

AT&T enjoys exclusivity only for a few days. The carrier provider has also launched a few offers alongside to lure customers.

For example, a buyer gets the option to get $500 (roughly Rs. 31,800) towards a Samsung TV purchased online when you purchase the Galaxy S8 Active on AT&T Next and add DIRECTV as well. Alongside the purchase of the Galaxy S8 Active, you can buy a Samsung Gear S2 for $0.99 or the Gear S3 for $49.99 (roughly Rs 3,100) on a 2-year agreement on AT&T Next. Lastly, the purchase can get you up to $200 (roughly Rs 12,700) in credits if you trade in an eligible smartphone in exchange.

Other than that the mobile looks pretty promising and Let’s hope it’s able to deliver and live up to its expectations. Also, Rushing to buy this model just because it’s new is not a very good idea.
